Notes From New York

David has co-devised, co-directed and musically directed all of the shows in the Notes from New York series, including Not(es) from New York, a British edition of the series at the Duchess Theatre, Notes in Heels, back at the Duchess Theatre, and three instalments of Christmas in New York, the second of which included his debut as a composer. He also acted as Musical Supervisor for the gala staging of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last 5 Years at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

His other credits as Musical Director include A Spoonful of Stiles & Drewe at Her Majesty's Theatre, the world première of Next Door’s Baby at the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond, the European premières of Little by Little at the Arts Theatre, A Class Act and the Do I Hear a Waltz? at the Landor Theatre, the UK tour of Grant Olding’s Tracy Beaker Gets Real, When Midnight Strikes at the Finborough Theatre and A Womans Prerogative, Last Chance Saloon and Transatlantic Talent at the Theatre Museum.

His acting credits include the European premières of Myths & Hymns at the Finborough Theatre and Loving Art at the Landor Theatre, the UK tours of Salad Days as Nigel Danvers, The Roy Orbison Story, the title role in the UK tour of Fiddler on the Roof and Schlomo in the UK tour of Fame.

He regularly teaches at a range of London drama schools including the London School of Musical Theatre, Guildford School of Acting, Mountview, Sylvia Young and Arts Ed.
