Soap siren Amy Nuttall and teen pop sensation Jon Lee joined musical theatre stars and series regulars Julie Atherton and Paul Spicer to headline this first anniversary gala alongside an exceptional ensemble made up of past cast members Shona Lindsay, Damien Edwards, Debbie Kurup, Oliver Tompsett and Ashleigh Gray.
Featuring all of the composers profiled so far in the series, the show included songs by Pulitzer Prize winner Jonathan Larson, the perennially popular Jason Robert Brown, the Grammy nominated Andrew Lippa, as well as John Bucchino, Adam Guettel, Jimmy Roberts and newcomer Tim Acito.

Olivier Award nominee Rebecca Thornhill was joined by Stephen Weller, best known for his portrayal of the title role in Martin Guerre, along with newcomer Ashleigh Gray, who made her professional debut as Kim in the UK tour of Taboo and Oliver Tompsett, now a stalwart of the series.
The show featured the work of the multi-award-winning Adam Guettel (Floyd Collins, Myths & Hymns), grandson of musical theatre legend Richard Rodgers, alongside that of Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Hello Again) and New York's best kept musical theatre secret, John Bucchino.

Julie Atherton and Paul Spicer were joined by Kellie Ryan, who played Katie Brown in the UK tour and West End season of Calamity Jane and Samuel Barnett, who was performing in the world première of Alan Bennett's new play The History Boys at the Royal National Theatre and subsequently went on to do so on Broadway.
This Independence Day show featured the work of the Grammy nominated Andrew Lippa (John & Jen, The Wild Party), Tony Award nominee Craig Carnelia (Is There Life After High School?), and the composer of Off-Broadway's longest ever running show Jimmy Roberts (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change).

Julie Atherton and Paul Spicer were joined by the fearsomely talented Debbie Kurup, who was starring as Dee Dee in Tonight's the Night at the Victoria Palace, and Craig Purnell, whose extensive musical theatre credits include the UK première of Jason Robert Brown's Songs for a New World at the Bridewell Theatre.
The show featured the work of Pulitzer Prize winner Jonathan Larson (Rent, Tick Tick Boom) and the Tony Award winning William Finn (Falsettos, A New Brain, Infinite Joy, Elegies) alongside a new selection of songs by the critically acclaimed Jason Robert Brown (Songs for a New World, Parade, The Last Five Years).

Sunday 2 November 2003 - Arts Theatre, Leicester Square
In this first ever Notes from New York show, Julie Atherton and Paul Spicer were joined by Shona Lindsay, whose West End credits include Christine in Phantom of the Opera and Sandy in Grease, and Damien Edwards, who had recently played the title role in a tour of The Roy Orbison Story.
This first show in the Notes from New York series featured the a selection of the work of Tony Award winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Songs for a New World, Parade, The Last Five Years) and the Grammy Award nominated songwriter Andrew Lippa (John & Jen, The Wild Party).
